SCHOOL Sports rivalry continued on Tuesday at a number of venues around the island. Micoud, Soufriere, Vieux Fort Comprehensive, St. Joseph’s Convent, Clendon Mason and Corinth Secondary were runaway winners in low scoring netball encounters.
In Under – 15 netball played at the Vieux Fort Multipurpose Court, Micoud Secondary defeated Choiseul Secondary 18 – 8. For Micoud Secondary, (Goal Shoot) Briana Daniel Scored 9 out of 20 attempts and (Goal Attack) GerminaSonson scored 9 out of 21 attempts. For Choiseul, (GS) Nella Nelson Scored 2 out of 3 attempts and (GA) Tiffany Jn Pierre scored 6 out of 10 attempts.
Soufriere Comprehensive defeated Beanefield Comprehensive 31 – 7. For Soufriere Comprehensive (GS) Renala Francis scored 15 out of 32 attempts and (GA) Megan Lionel scored 16 out of 32 attempts. For Beanefield, (GS) Kyle Vernege scored 6 out of 15 attempts and (GA) Mya Attie scored 1 out of 7.
Vieux Fort Comprehensive defeated AnseGer Secondary 31 – 4. For VFC (GS) Allana Romulus scored 24 out of 40 attempts (GA) Kayla Camille scored 5 out of 9 attempts and (GA No.2) Cresyana Romany scored 2 out of 6 attempts. For AnseGer Secondary (GS) Anika Fontenelle scored 1 out of 1 attempts and (GA) Dalia Charlemagne scored 3 out of 6 attempts.
At the Beausejour Indoor Facility also on Tuesday, St. Joseph’s Convent defeated Castries Comprehensive 34 – 3. For SJC, (GS) Britney Desir scored 16 out of 22 attempts and (GA) MelikaDestang scored 18 out of 27 attempts. For Castries Comprehensive, (GS) Kayla Laurency scored 2 out of 2 attempts and (GA) Ruzel Reynolds scored 1 out of 1.
Clendon Mason defeated Entreport Secondary 20 – 3. For CMSS (GS) Sannyah St. Ville scored 2 out of 2 attempts and (GA) Margissa Sealy scored 14 out of 32 attempts. For Entrepot Secondary, (GS) Nirvelle Pierre scored 1 out of 2 attempts and (GA) Kaliiah Stephen scored 1 out of 2 attempts.
Corinth Secondary defeated Babonneau Secondary 13 – 9. For (GS) Sannyah St. Ville scored 2 out of 5, (GA) Dasha Eugene scored 4 out of 5 attempts and (GA) No.2 Kacey James) scored 4 out of 6 attempts. For Babonneau Secondary, (GS) Mildred Boyce scored 7 out of 12 attempts and (GA): Yolanda Papius scored 2 out of 2 attempts.
In Under – 19 football, Group B played at the Sab Sporting Facility, St. Mary’s College defeated Ciceron Secondary 2 – 1.
George Charles Secondary defeated Bocage Secondary 4 – 2.
In Group D, play was abandoned at the Mindoo Phillip Park due to rain.
In Group E, a double header played at the Soufriere Mini Stadium; Vieux Fort Comprehensive and Soufriere Comprehensive played to 2 all draw, and Choiseul Secondary defeated Piaye Secondary 1 – 0.
Meanwhile, In under – 15 basketball, the games were shifted to the Beausejour Indoor Facility. Three games were played. Castries Comprehensive defeated Sir Ira Simmons 12 – 7. St. Mary’s College defeated Leon Hess 34 – 13 and Babonneau Secondary defeated Soufriere Comprehensive 16 – 2.
