The Cultural Development Foundation (CDF) will on Friday, October 7 be facilitating an audition for dancers and dance tutors at the National Cultural Centre in collaboration with Hah-r-Mony Entertainment Ltd.
The hope is that participants in this extraordinary training session will be instructed in techniques specific to Salsa, Merenge, Rhumba, Samba, Haitian/African folk, Jamaican traditional folk (Kumina, Dinkimi, Quadrille), Dancehall and Soca by visiting choreographers.
HAH-R-Mony Entertainment Ltd/EPC of Jamaica Dancers are part of an entertainment and performing arts production company based in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The family of dance performers deliver world-class business entertainment dance shows and are being recruited to perform at various hotels, circus and aqua/synchronized swimming performances.
Saint Lucian dancers as well as dance tutors are encouraged to participate in the upcoming auditions and work alongside their peers from neighbouring Caribbean territories.
Participants in this week’s audition are asked to walk with comfortable dance attire and dance shoes. Auditions will take place at the National Cultural Centre, the CDF’s Barnard Hill facility in Castries, on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 3:00 p.m.
