I have never been one who was in favour of the establishment of the Citizenship by Investment Programme and for every day that this programme sticks around the more uncomfortable I become. A China Town in Castries is not far-fetched. They do it everywhere they go. Spadina in Toronto is an example.

The idea of humans wanting to migrate to a foreign country on a permanent basis , then not wanting to socially mingle with the nation’s population or worse, seem to demand that they be left in isolation by not showing interest or not wanting to mingle with the natives or even wanting to learn that country’s language should not bode well with any resident of that country.

Out of respect anyone who show interest in wanting to migrate to a foreign land and establish that country as their permanent residence should understand that they have to make the necessary adjustments in order to blend in. Especially when it comes to speaking the language of that country. It is simply a form of respect. Especially when you choose to reestablish that country as your permanent residence.
Once again it takes us back to the poor idea of simply accepting without question, the practices of some more developed nations. Not taking into account the vastness of some of those countries and their ability to grow and expand due to under development.
I guess that would demand some thinking on those in power.

I certainly agree with the writer that the Asians do not have an historical reputation of integrating with societies different from their own after migration. They exhibit strong tendency to continue their routine as if they were still in their home country, they do not actively learn the language of their new country because they surround themselves with others like them, and ultimately form an enclave of other Asians. They lean towards working for themselves instead of for others for the most part, so are entrepreneurial.
They continue to eat and cook their own ethnic foods, are polite to their host country’s citizens but distant, and do not socialize with the locals very much.
