THE Ave Maria Girls’ Infant school presents its annual Mothers’ Day Pageant, under the theme, “HATS OFF IN 2016 tomorrow!”
The theme ‘HATS OFF IN 2016’ was selected to thank the people who have been making the show what it is today namely, sponsors, mothers, parents, teachers and supporters. It’s a way of saying thanks.
The contestants will all take part in the intro piece in the form of a dance, then they will introduce themselves after which the judging segments will begin.
The segments are as follows : Ambassadorial speech where the contestants will market the Ave Maria Girls’ Infant School; Talent, where they will perform a dance, drama piece or anything of their choice that will represent something they would like to say hats off to. The contestant’s will also portray mascots which will depict certain aspects of academics such as Music, Information Technology and Physical Education. The last segment will be the evening wear and interview section where they will be dressed elegantly and answer questions based on their ambassadorial speech.
The school continues to recognize and show appreciation for the talent which the mothers of its students possess. Participating will be seven contestants who are excited about holding the title of ‘MISS AVE MARIA INFANT.’ The winner of this pageant will serve as an ambassador for our school.
The pageant is into its fifth year and will be held from 3:00 p.m., at the Castries Comprehensive School.
Additionally, such an event affords the Ave Maria School the opportunity to encourage and increase parental involvement, socially, spiritually, intellectually and morally, a necessary contribution to the success of the school.
The contestants represent all three grade levels at the school. They are as follows:
KINDERGARTEN: Lizette St.Ange, Tricia Hunte and Ferdrana Montoute- Delaire. GRADE ONE: Sherma Stowe and Sialliana Charles. GRADE TWO: Melissa Hippolyte and Keyonne Annerville.
This pageant seeks to raise much needed funds for our school. Tickets cost $25 adults and $15 children .
