THE St. Lucia Athletics Association will tomorrow join the rest of the athletics fraternity in the observance of World Athletics Day.
This year’s activity will be in two phases with a Kids Athletics exhibition on the Gros Islet playing field from 11:00 a.m. and the School and Clubs exhibition from 3:00 p.m. at the Mindoo Phillip Park.
The Kids Athletes Exhibition at the Gros Islet Playing Field will see over 110 athletes from primary schools in District 1 engage in athletics drills and friendly rivalry.
The School and Club Athletics Exhibition at the Mindoo Phillip Park will see athletes compete in the following events – 100m ( male, female), 400m ( male, female), 800m ( male, female), High jump ( males open), Shot Putt ( male, female), Long jump ( male, female), 4 x 100m ( male, female).
