ST.LUCIA will be represented by a six man team and one official at the annual Eastern Caribbean Golf Association tournament scheduled for St. Maarten from October 1 to 5.
According to Tim Mangal, President of the St.Lucia Golf Association and coach travelling with the team to St.Maarten, after three rounds of qualifiers, the Men’s team was finally selected with the following players: Cliff Alcide, Eugene Edwin, Ben Gilmore and Romanus Inglis, while in the Super Senior category were Milton McKenzie and Brad Paul.
Meanwhile, the Cap Estate Golf Course was a hive of golfing activity last Saturday as the Monthly Medal got underway with over 30 players competing in the three general categories, namely Gross, Net and Stableford.
Winning the Gross prize on 75 was Cliff Alcide, while the first Nett went to Mario Reyes with a score of 66 followed by Mike Green in second place on 72. The Stableford category was won by Ames Amos with 38.
Mangal said that the golfers now look forward to Saturday for the 10 / 10 /10 Bogey tournament.
