The annual national debating competition organized by National Lotteries Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports and the National Youth Council (NYC), gets underway today.
The topic for the first round of debate is: “The legalization of same-sex marriages in the United States of America will negatively affect the moral and social values of Saint Lucia.”
The first round of debate will be held at the Laborie Village Council with Laborie taking on Anse-la-Raye. At the Belle Vue Human Resource Development Centre (Vieux Fort) Babonneau will go up against Vieux Fort North and at the Ciceron Secondary School Micoud will take on South Castries .
