THE excitement continues this evening with another double header in the Commercial League Chamber of Commerce Basketball Tournament currently being played at the Beausejour Indoor Practice Facility.
In Group D – from 6.00 p.m. it’s an all tourism sector derby when Windjammer plays Anse Chastanet, while in Group A – defending champions St.Lucia Fire Service goes against St.Lucia Teachers’ Union from 8.00 p.m. in what is expected to be an eye catching encounter.
Both teams will come out firing to see who will top the Group A after the final whistle. From all indications, based on what has transpired on centre court thus far in this year’s tournament, the team that plays the hardest, keeps to their game plan and has enough energy coming from the bench, will win.
In tonight’s first encounter Windjammer and Anse Chastanet will be hoping to make amends this time around after losing both of the opening matches.
Last evening at the same venue in Group A, Le Sport played Insurance All Stars, while BOSL / ECFH played the Ministry of the Public Service. Upon press time there was no word on the scores.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday evening in one of the tournament’s most heated and aggressive match-ups, Inland Revenue nosed over Digicel 76 – 66 to stay on top of the points table in Group B.
Quarter scores 12 – 17, 30 – 28, 44 – 58 and 66 – 76.
