Digicel Lauds Carnival Winners

DIGICEL for the seventh consecutive year partnered with the Carnival Planning and Management Agency (CPMA) in the presentation of the annual festival.

Digicel supported eight bands for the 2015 Carnival season. These included RED Unlimited, Just 4 Fun, RoyalitesXtreme and Insaniti . Digicel also supported the community of Anse la Raye in hosting their carnival celebrations, Rampage Bliss carnival band of Dennery and Meltdown XD for Vieux-Fort Carnival.

In the Kiddies category, Digicel continued its partnership with Just Us Kids Carnival Band which captured the title of Junior Band of the Year for the fifth consecutive year. Digicel also congratulates Red Unlimited and Just 4 Fun for placing second and fourth respectively in the Band of the Year contest and applauds RoyalitesXtreme and Red Unlimited on both claiming the title of “Mas on the Move”.

Digicel has also extended congratulations to Miss Digicel, Francillia Austin who finished second runner up in the National Carnival Queen pageant, on “an amazing representation before, during and after the show and looks forward to working with her in her charitable initiatives as the year progresses.”

Panorama was yet another celebration for the company as Digicel Pantime walked away with the title of National Panorama Champions for the third consecutive year. Preceding Panorama was the King & Queen of the Bands Competition for which ‘Tribe of Twell’ comfortably captured both titles.

Family and friend of Digicel, Ricky-T along with Superman HD with their power track, ‘Perfect Storm’ captured the title of Soca Monarch King(s) for 2015. Special congratulation goes out to Sir Lancelot on placing in both the Groovy and Power Soca Competitions. Congratulations are also extended to Groovy King, Arthur and Calypso King, Walleigh who both regained the titles from 2014 yet again.

Ricky-T, Arthur and Walleigh all received brand new Digicel 4G Samsung Galaxies S5 smartphones on the various nights along with their trophies.
