Online Ticket Sales For Jazz Underway

Patrons Can Save Up To 15% Via Early Bird

ONE month away from the official opening of the Caribbean’s premiere music and arts festival, enthusiastic patrons can now access and purchase selected event tickets online.

Festival goers simply need to log ontowww.stluciajazz.org to purchase tickets for main stage events beginning with the Jazz Showcase, carded for Thursday May 7, as well asthe popular weekend showsfromMay 8 – 10 at the historic Pigeon Island National Landmark.

Thursday’s show, billed as a must see for straight-ahead jazz aficionados which features two-time Grammy nominee Joey DeFranceso and acclaimed Paris-based pianist Alain Jean-Marie alongside Grant Stewart cost EC$115.00/US$46.00.

Friday’s show, themed Caribbean night and featuring lovers rock legend Beres Hammond, Barbadian jam band Krosfyah and local ‘conscience king’ Meshach cost EC$130.00/US $52.00.

Saturday and Sunday shows at Pigeon Island featuring performances from Flo Rida, Jon Secada, Timbalive, Arturo Tappin, Jimmy Cliff, Derede Williams, Jesse Billy, Chrisette Michelle and Robin Thicke and more are priced at EC$200.00/US$80.00 per day. All prices are VAT inclusive.

Tickets for the Opening at the Mindoo Phillip Park which feature Destra, Chronixx and more, are priced at EC$50/US$20 in advance (EC$60/US$24 at the gate) and are available at Steve’s Barber Shop and TheCell in Soufriere.

Tourism Director Louis Lewis says: “Whereas a few changes have been made in the Festival’s fee structure, ticket prices have remained relatively constant, offering festival patrons’ real value for money.”

Between now and March 31, patrons purchasing online tickets will benefit from a 15% reduction in cost. From April 1,, a 10% discount will be applied to bulk purchasing comprising 20 or more tickets.

Meanwhile, ticket sales at stores on island will be announced at a later date. Outlets will include The Cell in Castries, Baywalk Mall and Vieux Fort and Splendour Gifts and More at the Gablewoods Mall. Outlets will accept both cash and credit cards as well as bank card/ATM card transactions.

The 24th edition Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival features some of the best live performances from renowned local, regional and international superstars.

The Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival is into its 24th year and opens on April 30 at the Mindoo Phillip Park. The festival’s main headliners include singer/songwriter Robin Thicke, two-time Grammy winner Jon Secada,Jamaican reggae musician and actor Jimmy Cliff, Latin sensation Timbalive, American rapper Flo Rida, acclaimed Paris-based pianist Alain Jean Marie featuring Grant Stewart and two-time Grammy nominee Joey DeFranceso.
