Netball Wheels In Motion

FOLLOWING on the heels of its recently held election of officers that saw Liota Champagne – Mason emerge as the new president for the period 2014 – 2016. The St. Lucia National Netball Association is moving swiftly with its developmental programme.

The SLNNA has selected a number of Under – 16 players for trials to represent St. Lucia in up-coming engagements. By all reports these players were selected from the recently concluded Inter-Secondary Schools Tournament.

A meeting will be convened with parents, school representatives, officials from the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports / Ministry of Education, together with the St. Lucia National Netball Association executive and the SLNNA Technical Team to chart the way forward for the smooth training sessions of these young netballers.

The school / players selected are – Vieux-Fort Comprehensive Secondary School (La Resource) – Tanny William, Cassie Alcide, Cyrillia Charles, Kertisha Williams; Soufriere Comprehensive -Laurina Nicholas, Megan Nestor, Tiffany Allain, Nicole Montoute; Choiseul Secondary – Shaquille Frederick, Tenayestlgni Joseph, GriseldesAgdomar; Clendon Mason Memorial – Sherniqua Mathurin, Keyanna James, Micoud Secondary – Kianna Nelson, MerkissaTheodule, Darcelle Francis, Nadiege Edward; Nira Justin; Babonneau Secondary – Nigela Forde, Kaila Thomas, Bianca Alfred, Mildred Boyce, Kelly Edward, Corinth Secondary – Kamala Mangal, Veonce Weeks; St. Joseph’s Convent – Amela Gill, JamiahEveriste, Ciceron Secondary – AlvinaGonzague, Tyler James; Vide Bouteille Secondary – Sherel Williams, Debra Fletcher, Dayna Felix; Leon Hess Comprehensive – Dana Mathurin, Castries Comprehensive Secondary – Naomi Edward; Sir Ira Simmons Secondary – Janel Mathurin.
