Saint Lucia Secures Gold and Bronze Medal at CARFITA Games

THE Saint Lucia Athletics Association [SLAA] has congratulated Team Saint Lucia for putting on a favourable performance in the recently concluded 51st CARIFTA Games, in which the country secured two medals.

From March 30 to April 1, a team of 17 Saint Lucian athletes participated in the event, which was held at the Kirani James Stadium in St. George’s, Grenada.

The event concluded with Naya Jules winning a gold medal and Alexander Johnson claiming the bronze medal respectively, in pole vault.

The team included Naya Jules, Denzel Phillips, Jady Emmanuel, Ricardo Mann, Syesha Rogers, Tesley Lesporis, Casya Paul, Maiya Landers, Isabella Emilienne, Alex Devaux, Omarion Edwin, Sherquan Joseph, Alexandra Johnson, Hannah Charles and Kadeem Larcher.

Team officials were Dora Henry (manager), Denise Herman (head coach), Dominic Johnson (coach), and Makeba Alcide (physiotherapist/coach).
