Both Sides Celebrate

Last night’s thrashing of the Saint Lucia Labour by the United Workers Party is another historic political win reminiscence of the 1997 general elections when Saint Lucians got upset with the UWP government.

But not all Labour supporters were licking their wounds when the preliminary count was taking place. In perhaps one of the rarest moments of the 2016 elections our photographer caught supporters of both parties joyously celebrating together, red and yellow flays fluttering side by side amid a light shower.

It all went down in Ciceron last night. Oh what a moment it was.
