The defending Alicia John Women’s T20 Champions – South Castries, will be hoping for an improvement in the weather being experienced as they will be looking to retain their title when they square off against Gros Islet in the grand final today (Saturday 10th August) at the Mindoo Phillip Park (MPP) from 2.00 p.m.
Gros Islet ladies will be featuring in their line up the likes of West Indies player Qiana Joseph and national players Malika Edward and Swayline Williams. They will be seeking revenge for their loss in the preliminary stage to South Castries by 10 wickets at the La Ressource Playing Field.
Meanwhile, South Castries ladies will be looking to continue their dominance over their Gros Islet counterparts and will need strong performances from their Windward Islands players’ Captain Nerissa Crafton and star player Zaida James, as well as national all-rounder Maria David and former West Indies all-rounder Philippa Thomas Eudovic.
The rematch is expected to be one of excitement, thrill and intrigue between two female power houses.
