POLICE are investigating after suspected gun shots were fired in the community of Pavee in Castries on Wednesday night.
Residents of the community recall that at about 7:00pm sounds similar to match bombs being heard in the area.
Dead is a man believed to be in his late twenties or early thirties. According to reports, the victim, “Chaddy” originally from Black Mallet was found lying motionless in a poorly lit alleyway with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the head.
It is unclear at this stage whether it was a random shooting or a targeted attack.
The body was transported from the cordoned off scene a few hours after the attack via a coroner van.
