THE EDITOR:
Congratulations, Saint Lucia!
Many congratulations to Prime Minister Allen Michael Chastanet and his team of United Workers.
Sir, lots of us were touched by the confidence, humanness and sincerity of your first address to the nation as Prime Minister. These are qualities which will serve you well as you keep faith with your vision and passion for the future of Saint Lucia and its people. We know you have your work cut out for you, and it appears that you can’t wait to get started. My simple bit of advice is to keep talking to the people, explaining things to us and educating us as we proceed along this exciting journey with you. Once you keep in communication with your people and your God, you’ll be fine, whether the news is good or bad. And in the midst of all your hard work, don’t forget to make time for your family whom you obviously care for deeply.
We’re all in this together whether we like it or not. One of my few regrets with the results of Monday’s poll is that all four of those solid women candidates of the UWP did not finish first, though I must say the two who didn’t, the Misses Belrose and Isaac, performed incredibly well and far better than expected.
Congratulations, Saint Lucians! Let’s show the world! Together, let’s build a new Saint Lucia!
Well said Nahdjla, I’ve always enjoyed your inspired writings;
keep up the good work, it must be a blessing to the ones receiving it.
Allen is young, with lots of energy and with the right ideas; we must continue
to pray for a new Cabinet and the whole government inclusively. Say Hi to sister.
