The event offered guests an immersive experience celebrating St. Lucian culture, gastronomy, entertainment, fashion, and creativity—where every sense told a story.
Following its recent AAA Four Diamond designation, the event highlighted: Carnival of the Senses, showcasing the resort’s growing importance within Saint Lucia’s tourism landscape and its commitment to providing an elevated guest experience.
Excitement filled the air as hotel staff welcomed distinguished guests, including government officials, diplomats, and notable representatives from the hospitality sector. The celebration coincided with the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority’s 2026 Saint Lucia Showcase International and featured prominent figures such as Tourism Minister Dr. Ernest Hilaire, Nicole Su, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Saint Lucia, and Louis Lewis, CEO of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority.
During the event, Alisteer Nelson, Director of Sales and Marketing, emphasized the goal of providing a sensory-rich experience, stating, “This celebration aims to turn curiosity into revenue while leaving an unforgettable impression of what makes this island and our resort unique.”
Remarks from other key speakers, including Jeff Mullen, President and CEO of Mullen Real Estate Capital, and General Manager Carl Ainscough, highlighted the resort’s successful first year and its positive contribution to the growth of Saint Lucia’s tourism sector.
Following a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, the “Carnival of the Senses” unfolded around the resort’s main pool, celebrating the vibrancy of Saint Lucia through its gastronomy, rhythms, traditional dance, heritage displays, and a fashion runway featuring local designers.
Ainscough said, “Celebrating our first anniversary alongside our recent AAA Four Diamond recognition reflects our exceptional team and partners and the warm welcome we’ve received from Saint Lucia. As we enter our second year, we look forward to fostering even more meaningful connections between our guests and this beautiful destination.”
Guests were treated to a magnificent array of culinary offerings, a local fruits booth, and a selection of beverages. The evening also featured stunning models showcasing designer fashions, proudly representing Saint Lucia’s local wear.
Since its opening in June 2025, Secrets St. Lucia has become the largest adults-only all-inclusive resort on the island, proudly holding Queer Destinations certification and employing approximately 700 team members.
The resort further strengthens its ties to the community through its partnership with the Saint Lucia Kings, promoting national pride and supporting one of the Caribbean’s most celebrated professional cricket teams.
