NWU and First Citizens Investment Services Reach Agreement

The National Workers Union (NWU) has successfully negotiated an industrial agreement with the management of First Citizens Investment Services St. Lucia Limited (FCIS) to address the concerns of FCIS employees.

In a letter dated July 14, 2026, the NWU notified Minister of Labour, Emma Hippolyte, of its acceptance of the industrial accord, effectively settling the pending negotiations. The agreement includes an eight percent (8%) general wage increase for technical and clerical employees, to be distributed in increments of 2.5%, 2.5%, and 3% over the three-year duration of the accord.

Additionally, significant improvements have been made regarding Paternity Leave and compensation for additional duties. Employees will also receive back pay retroactive to January 1, 2025.

Implementation of the new provisions is expected to commence soon, with arrangements underway for the official signing of the accord at the Labour Commissioner’s office in the Department of Labour.
