The St. Lucia Semi Professional Football League (SPFL) 3.0 has started with much excitement and some stimulating matchups.
This weekend the action continues at the Phillip Marcellin Grounds in Vieux Fort with more top local talent on showcase.
On Saturday at 6pm, Babonneau will come up against Marchand in the weekend’s lone Super League encounter.
That will be followed by an 8pm Premier League showdown between Dennery and Gros Islet.
Sunday July 5th can be considered powerhouse Sunday with two promising Premier League encounters. First at 6pm, defending champions La Clery will face a strong Vieux Fort North team aiming to stamp their mark on this year’s tournament.
In the weekend’s final match, recently crowned Community Shield Champions and Champions of the last year’s Super League, Anse La Raye will face recently crowned Under 20 Blackheart champions Vieux Fort South in what is expected to be a thrilling showdown. While the Vieux Fort South outfit may consist of a totally different setup, the football philosophy is expected to be unchanged.
