On Sunday, May 24, Saint Lucian cycling prodigy Denver Alphonse Jr. showcased his remarkable talent by securing 1st place in the Under-23 category and finishing 27th overall in stage 4 of the Grand Prix du 22 Me cycling road race held in Martinique.
Riding for ASC Karaïbes Culture Sports, the 17-year-old athlete demonstrated exceptional skill and endurance throughout the challenging 132-kilometer race, ultimately placing 21st overall while standing out as the top competitor in his division.
This victory comes on the heels of Denver’s impressive second-place finish in the Under-23 category at the Grand Prix DE UCS time trial earlier in March 2026. His recent performances underscore his rising potential in international junior cycling and position him as a promising talent on both the Caribbean and global stages.
Denver has consistently delivered outstanding results in Martinique, including claiming Under-23 gold at the Challenge des Présidents Clubs and a second-place finish in his division at the Grand Prix UCS.
