The first stage of the SLFA Inc. Primary Schools Boys Under-12 District League officially concluded on Saturday, April 11, with exciting action at the Grande Riviere Field in Gros Islet.
On the day, Marchand and Anse La Raye secured important victories, while no matches were played at the Technical Centre in Grande Riviere, Dennery.
Marchand emphatically cemented their position at the top of the North Group with a dominant 10–0 victory over La Clery. The young attackers were in superb form, with Jamal Edward (3rd, 6th minutes), Jaheim Alfred (13th, 25th), and Naran Small (27th, 36th) all scoring braces. Additional goals came from Keylan St. Juste (8th), Zaydan Joseph (48th), Messiah John (55th), and Nyiem Emmanuel in the 4th minute of added time, completing a commanding performance.
Meanwhile, Anse La Raye booked their place in the second stage with a hard-fought 2–0 win over South Castries. Shervin Charles opened the scoring early in the 3rd minute, before Jedd Desir sealed the victory with a goal in the 57th minute.
With the first stage now complete, attention turns to the next round of competition as teams continue their quest for Under-12 district league glory.
