The initiative was unveiled , on Tuesday, highlighting collaboration with key stakeholders, including government bodies and civil society organizations such as Raise Your Voice Saint Lucia Inc.

Previlus emphasized that the initiative embodies the government’s values and vision for healthcare reform in Saint Lucia, saying, “This encapsulates what we stand for and where we are headed.”

“This occasion is not merely a visual unveiling; it is a declaration of intent, a reaffirmation of values, and a renewed commitment to the health and well-being of every Saint Lucian,” she declared.

“Universal Health Coverage means that everyone, regardless of income, location, age, or status, can access the quality health services they need without suffering financial hardship,” Dr. Eugene-Ford explained.

She added, “It is rooted in equity, dignity, and social justice, placing people at the center of our healthcare systems. The unveiling of the name and logo represents a powerful symbol of this aspiration.”

Dr. Eugene-Ford highlighted that the design reflects core values of inclusiveness, solidarity, protection, and shared responsibility. “It serves as a reminder that health is not a privilege for the few, but a fundamental right for all.”

She emphasized that the logo and name will act as a unifying mark, connecting policies to the people.

“This is an important milestone toward our journey of equitable, accessible, and high-quality healthcare for every citizen and resident of Saint Lucia,” stated Jenny Daniel, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Nutrition.

“Universal Health Coverage is more than a policy direction; it is a national commitment representing our shared belief that no individual should face financial hardship or barriers when seeking essential health services,” she asserted.

Daniel noted that the launch symbolizes the strengthening of commitment and reflects years of collaboration, planning, and dedication by the government and various partners involved in the journey, particularly the Ministry of Health Strategic Management Team.
