SALCC Hosts Annual Public Outreach Activity Today

The Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC) will host its Annual Public Outreach Activity, today, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Derek Walcott Square in Castries.

The event will showcase the College’s diverse array of over 50 programme offerings, designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills needed for today’s dynamic job market. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to:

  • Meet and interact with faculty members who teach in their fields of interest.
  • Receive hands-on assistance in completing college applications.
  • Ask questions and receive expert guidance on selecting career paths that align with their goals.
  • Experience live demonstrations of the practical components from various programmes.

The event promises to be engaging and interactive for prospective students exploring their options, parents seeking information, and professionals considering further education.

“Education is the cornerstone of development, and our Annual Public Outreach Activity is a way for us to bring the resources and opportunities of the College directly to the community,” said Dr. Madgerie Jameson-Charles, Principal of SALCC. “We are excited to showcase the exceptional education and training we offer to empower individuals to succeed in their chosen fields.”

Admission to the event is free, and all are welcome. The College will also host an outreach in the south of the island on April 25th at the Workforce Development Centre in Vieux Fort.
