It was a night to remember, but most of all Saint Lucians know how to party and party they did at last night’s Groovy and Power Soca Monarch Competitions at the SAB playing field, Vigie.
In what was undeniably a memorable night for Soca music, two new Soca Monarch kings were crowned. Ricky T as the 2024 Power Soca Monarch and Sly, the Groovy Monarch.
In his comeback to competition, Sly captured the Groovy Monarch title from 6-time Groovy Monarch, Arthur Allain with his patriotic rendition “Damn Proud Lucian”.
