1st National Bank has made a $30,000 donation towards the 2024 Olympic broadcast with local media partners Helen Television System (HTS) making them Title Sponsors of the programme.

HTS is the exclusive Olympics broadcaster for Saint Lucia and will be bringing the island Olympics coverage from Paris France daily from 6:00am – 11:00pm. The broadcast is set to feature daily reports, interviews from Paris and an emphasis on local and regional athletes.

1 st National Bank’s Corporate Banking Manager Solomon Emmanuel commented on this sponsorship, “we at 1st National Bank are excited for the Olympics games coming up in the summer and look forward to seeing our Brand Ambassador Julien Alfred on the track. It was vital for us to play a part in this sponsorship as we continue to support sports and athletes of St. Lucia, particularly Julien Alfred but also to play a role in ensuring all St. Lucians can view the games as the island seeks to gain its first Olympic Medal”.

St. Lucia will have three athletes competing at the Olympics: Julien Alfred in athletics (100m and 200m) Micheal Joseph in athletics (400m) and Luc Chevrier in sailing.

The Olympics Games takes place from July 26th to August 11th, 2024, and will be streamed on HTS Channel 4 and Cable 116.

1st National Bank wishes all the St. Lucian athletes competing a safe journey to Paris and the best of luck in their events.
