Saint Lucia continues to clamp down on persons involved in acts of praedial larceny, a worrisome factor for local farmers.
In compliance with the Praedial Larceny Act, Elijah Eliodore received two eight-month prison terms to run concurrently for stealing from a poultry farm in Augier, Vieux Fort.
Eliodore appeared in court, last month, and he was also ordered to pay a fine of $1000 or six-months jail, in default.
According to a spokesperson, the Praedial Larceny Unit continues to respond and investigate all incidents of praedial larceny.
The unit appeals to the public that anyone with information regarding such matters are requested to contact the nearest police station.
