AFTER months of mobilization and consolidation among workers employed with Buckeye Partners St. Lucia Ltd., at Cul de Sac, employees were given an opportunity to determine their choice of union representation. A Secret Ballot Poll was conducted among the Buckeye employees by the Department of Labour on Wednesday September 20, 2023.
The workers voted by majority in favour of having the National Workers Union (NWU) as their Bargaining Agent to represent their interests.
The NWU is currently awaiting a Recognition Certificate from the Department of Labour in keeping with the outcome of the said Poll.
