
The Royal St. Lucia Police Force has made significant progress in the investigation surrounding the death of forty-seven-year-old Julius Charles from Jacmel, Anse La Raye.
Earlier this year, police arrested and charged Kurtney Eunude and Zidane James in connection with his murder.
On Monday, September 14, both suspects were brought to the First District Court for bail proceedings and were subsequently remanded to the Bordelais Correctional Facility.
This case dates back to June 23, when officers from the Anse La Raye Police Station launched an investigation into the attempted murder of Julius Charles. His body was discovered along the Jacmel Road with apparent gunshot wounds, and he was transported to the Owen King European Hospital (OKEU) for medical treatment.
Tragically, Julius Charles succumbed to his injuries on August 8, 2026.
