After a shaky start, the home team rallied to secure three coveted category titles over the course of seven exhilarating days, reclaiming the overall championship for the first time since 2019.

Exhibiting remarkable fortitude, Team Saint Lucia showcased unparalleled consistency in netball, women’s volleyball, and football, while also clinching strong second-place finishes in both men’s and women’s basketball, as well as men’s volleyball. The 62-member squad, representing the spirit of Saint Lucia, amassed an impressive total of 37 points to achieve this championship victory, overcoming an initial setback in athletics.
On that unforgettable Friday, the Francis Baba Lastic Grounds erupted with cheers as Saint Lucia set the tone for their football match against Dominica. A swift opening goal from Joshua George in the 17th minute ignited the fervor of the local supporters, followed closely by Devaj Edward’s impressive strike that doubled the lead
As the hosts held firm against Dominica’s efforts, Obafami Poyette sealed their fate with a pivotal third goal in the 73rd minute, ensuring a captivating win that brought the audience to their feet.
In addition to their football success, the women’s volleyball team delivered a riveting performance against Grenada at the Beausejour Indoor Facility. Despite facing a spirited challenge from their rivals, Saint Lucia forged ahead with an impressive first two sets before falling to Grenada’s tenacity in the third and fourth.
However, buoyed by an energized home crowd, they turned the tide in the decisive set, storming to a stunning 15-4 finish, clinching not just a victory but the prestigious 2026 Windward Islands School Games Volleyball Championship trophy.
