Commercial Basketball League Update

The Commercial Basketball League is in full swing at the Beausejour Indoor Facility, featuring thrilling matchups.

In a nail-biter, the Ministry of Finance edged out Police 75-70 after a strong third-quarter comeback by Police. Finance held a 44-22 halftime lead, but Police outscored them 29-17 in the third.

Keegan Preville led Finance with 38 points and 16 rebounds, supported by Ryan Philogene’s 25 points. For Police, Amil Octave and Shawn Auguste each contributed 15 points.

Bweelz Fit Lifestyle secured a convincing 80-53 victory over Ministry of Sports United. Jazaniah Blanchard scored 19 points, while Simeon Hippolyte added 16 points.

Sports United’s top scorer was Jovanny Antoine with 16 points. The league kicked off excitingly on August 4, with the Saint Lucia Teachers Union defeating Bweelz Fit Lifestyle 82-58, led by Meshack Du Boulay’s 21 points.

Meanwhile, the Saint Lucia Fire Service triumphed 61-36 over Ministry of Sports United, spearheaded by a balanced team effort.

The action continued on August 6 with Finance facing Police and Bweelz Fit Lifestyle clashing with Ministry of Sports United.
