First Citizens Continues Carnival Support

.

First Citizens Investment Services (FCIS) has reaffirmed its commitment to Saint Lucia’s cultural development in their return for the fourth consecutive year as a Bronze Sponsor of Saint Lucia Carnival.

The continued partnership with the Carnival Planning and Management Committee (CPMC) supports several of the season’s marquee events, including the National Carnival Queen Show, Calypso Monarch, Soca Monarch, Panorama, King and Queen of the Bands and the Carnival Parade.

Head of Regional Operations Sean Reid expressed that “At First Citizens, true sponsorship extends beyond financial support. It is about creating opportunities that empower people and strengthen communities. For the fourth consecutive year, we are proud to partner with the Carnival Planning and Management Committee to support Saint Lucia Carnival while investing in initiatives that leave a lasting legacy.”

That investment was further demonstrated through the company’s fourth annual financial education seminar for the nine contestants vying for the 2026 National Carnival Queen title. Held under the theme “Queens of Wealth: Crowned with Knowledge, Empowered for Success,” the session equipped delegates with practical skills in budgeting, saving, investing, financial planning and building generational wealth.

Facilitated by Senior Investment Associate Nayeebah St. Prix, the interactive seminar encouraged contestants to engage in discussions about their financial goals while exploring strategies for long-term financial security.

Business Development Manager Gale Cumberbatch said the initiative reflects the company’s belief that the contestants are “not only ambassadors of beauty and culture, but also future leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals. Through initiatives
such as this seminar, we hope to inspire them to make informed financial decisions,
build wealth with confidence, and embrace opportunities that will empower them long
after the Carnival season has ended,” stated Ms. Cumberbatch.

At the end of the seminar, each contestant received a certificate of participation in recognition of her commitment to strengthening her financial knowledge.

As Saint Lucia Carnival 2026 continues to take shape, this partnership highlights the growing role of corporate support in sustaining cultural events while creating opportunities for education and personal development.
