Massy Foundation Officially Launched in Saint Lucia!

Saint Lucia’s philanthropic landscape has received a significant boost with the official launch of the Massy Foundation, a structured and purpose-driven program designed to expand access to funding and support for community development.

Already established in Trinidad and Barbados, the Massy Foundation has now expanded to Saint Lucia, formalizing Massy’s long-standing commitment to giving across key areas including food security, access to education, health and wellness, and environmental sustainability. The local chapter will operate under the guidance of an Advisory Panel, ensuring a more strategic, transparent, and impactful approach to community investment.

The inaugural launch event, held at Bay Gardens Beach Resort and Spa, brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from government, private sector, and civil society. Delivering remarks on behalf of the Ministry of Equity, Deputy Permanent Secretary Karen Duprès expressed appreciation for the Foundation’s commitment to supporting national development and improving the lives of citizens.

Advisory Panel Member Linda Augier highlighted the importance of structured philanthropy and collaboration, noting that the Foundation will play a vital role in empowering communities and supporting meaningful initiatives across the island.

Providing insight into the application process, Kelly Mitchell, Divisional Head – Marketing & Corporate Communications at Massy Stores, outlined that eligible organizations can access grant funding information and application details via the Massy Stores Saint Lucia website. Each application must meet defined criteria and will remain valid for six months. Interested parties may also direct queries to massyfoundation.slu@massystores.com.

“The Massy Foundation reflects our belief that we have a responsibility to contribute meaningfully to the communities we serve. Through focused support in key areas, we aim to drive real and lasting change.”

With its official launch, the Massy Foundation is now open to partnerships and applications, signaling a long-term investment in the development and wellbeing of the people of Saint Lucia.
