The unruly behavior of southern minibus Drivers has been brought to the fore once again.
Last week, in a video which went viral, two minibus drivers of the Southern Minibus Drivers Association (2H) were seen in a physical altercation on their bus stand.
It was an ugly sight to see two big men trading feeble punches at each other in the full view of the public, including commuters.
The fight began on one side of the road and ended on the other.
Other minibus drivers intervened and stopped the brawl.
“Those drivers need to be disciplined. They are complaining about the behavior of the young people but they are worse,” a commuter who witnessed the fight said.
“It is serious. I did not want to laugh but I had to. It was a bit of fun to see two big men fighting like little girls in the full view of the public,” another commuter who also witnessed the fight added.
The problem arose following a misunderstanding between the two drivers as to whose turn it was to embark passengers.
This reporter understands that disciplinary action will be taken against the drivers involved in the incident.
Over a month ago, the Southern Minibus Drivers Association awarded some of its members for their outstanding performances in various aspects of their work, including discipline.
This is the second physical altercation between minibus drivers in the south in less than a month.
Last month, two minibus drivers plying the Vieux-Fort-Belle Vue route were involved in a physical altercation, resulting in one of them being sustaining an injury to his head.
