On October 20, in a bold recognition of World Food Day, the Youth Workers of the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports launched the second “Farm to Table” Project.

This initiative actively supports primary schools in establishing and maintaining kitchen gardens that will provide fresh fruits and vegetables for their school feeding programs.

It promotes healthier meals, food sustainability, and agricultural awareness among students.

During this impactful activity, youth workers planted avocado, plantain, banana, orange, lime, and tangerine trees at several participating schools, including La Ressource Combined, Bexon Infant, Ciceron Combined, Ti Rocher R.C., Forestière Methodist, and Babonneau Primary School.

These efforts reinforce the project’s mission to promote sustainable agriculture and enhance access to nutritious foods within schools.
