Saint Lucia delivered an outstanding performance to secure 2nd place at the recently concluded IFBB Central American and Caribbean Championship and the IFBB Semi-Pro CAC 2025.

The athletes showcased remarkable displays of skill and athleticism.
The contest featured a dynamic combination of rhythmic muscle power and expertly crafted choreography, executed with confidence and precision.
Held from September 26 to 27 at the Pavilion on the Ramp in Gros Islet, the event received tremendous support from enthusiastic sports fans who enjoyed vibrant performances from athletes across the region.
Team Barbados dominated the overall standings, winning ten gold medals, nine silver, and four bronze. Saint Lucia’s impressive second-place finish highlighted the island’s growing strength and depth in the sport.

With a determined 17-member team, Saint Lucia secured its spot at the Central American and Caribbean Bodybuilding Championship, competing fiercely over two days, unlike the previous one-day format.
In the final tally, Team Saint Lucia claimed second place overall, just behind Barbados, which also fielded a 17-member contingent, showcasing their commitment to the event.
Notably, Team Saint Lucia earned a pro card through the exceptional achievements of double gold medallist Shani Victorin. In bodybuilding, a pro card is a prestigious certification that designates an athlete as a professional bodybuilder, representing a significant milestone for career advancement and competition eligibility.
Victorin is now the second Saint Lucian woman to obtain a pro card, following Marina Pierre in 2016.
At a post-match review, Jacqueline Trim, President of the Saint Lucia Bodybuilding and Body Fitness Association (SLBBFF), expressed pride in the team’s accomplishments amid the challenges.
Trim, who leads the national federation responsible for organising bodybuilding events and athlete development, stated, “We had participation from 13 countries, with 95 athletes and 34 officials on the island, and I am pleased with the tremendous support we received for an event of such magnitude.”
Local organisers are confident that this championship will reignite interest and support for the sport.
