The St. Lucian golfers held off challengers from Antigua, Anguilla, St. Croix, Martinique, St. Martin. Barbados, Gaudeloupe and host country St. Kitts and Nevis to secure the coveted prize of Gross winners making team St. Lucia the Championship winners; a title last held in 2023.

Team St. Lucia comprised:

1. Senior Men’s Team – Timothy Mangal, Eugene Edwin and Andre Dhanpaul

2. Supersenior Men’s Team – McHale Andrew and Victor Charles.

3. Men’s Team – Harith Khan, Nicholas Beaubrun and Yadhur Urs.

To win the tournament  players in each category had to score well to ensure that their individual scores would count towards the final tally of scores.  Team St. Lucia scored well across the four categories; with the ladies contributing significantly by winning the overall Ladies Gross Prize; and Lisa Gardner winning the individual Ladies Gross winner.  Our youngest player, Britney Mangal showed a maturity and power beyond her age and stature.  This is our youngest female golfer who without doubt was the longest hitter off the tee; and who is a rising star in the region.

The men’s team made a viliant and nail biting finish to secure the title through their massive efforts.  The most commendable performance in that group came from the golfer who has been referred as the top golfer from the Eastern Caribbean, Yadhu Urs.  Yadhu won the ‘Overall Gross’ Prize of the tournament.

The Supersenior Men won the second net prize (McHale Andrew and Victor Charles).  Together the performances of the four groups of players secured the championship.  Thanks goes to the Captain, Tim Mangal, who ensured team training and preparation and to Team Manager, Dwayne King for logistics support and who participated in the Followers Catergory, receiving the 1st Place Net Prize.

The success of team St. Lucia is a victory shared with all Saint Lucians.  This victory would not be possible without our sponsors.

Without our main sponsors, the Saint Lucia Olympic Committee, National Lotteries Authority, Saint Lucia Tourism Authority; and Sandals Golf and Country Club, travel to and attendance at the ECGA Championship 2025 would not have been  possible..
