Saint Lucian Chef Elijah Jules Wins Top Honours at BVI Food, Wine & Rum Festival

Saint Lucia’s Elijah Jules has once again made the island proud, capturing first place at the 2025 Village Cay and Rhythm + Sands Food, Wine & Rum Festival held in the British Virgin Islands from October 17–19. 🇱🇨✨

Chef Jules, who serves as Executive Sous Chef at Jade Mountain, showcased his exceptional culinary talent to secure the Golden Cup in the highly competitive regional event.

Expressing his joy after the victory, Jules said, “Feeling absolutely happy right now! After a wild week, the Golden Cup is coming home! Huge thanks to everyone who cheered me on—your support meant the world.”

An award-winning chef with an impressive record of representing Saint Lucia internationally, Jules continues to be a strong ambassador for the island’s rich and diverse culinary heritage.

He also serves on the Saint Lucia Hospitality & Tourism Association’s (SLHTA) Culinary Committee, where he plays a vital role in preparing the Saint Lucia National Culinary Team for the upcoming Taste of the Caribbean competition, scheduled for November 16–18, 2025, in Barbados.

The SLHTA extended heartfelt congratulations to Chef Jules for his outstanding performance and for continuing to elevate Saint Lucia’s name in the Caribbean culinary arena.
