‘OMYRA’, a psychological thriller written and directed by Elijah Anatole, is all set for its big screen debut.
Born out of passion and urgency to tell a story that stems from biblical times, ‘OMYRA’ will premiere exclusively at Caribbean Cinemas on Sunday, October 27, at 6:30 p.m.
“OMYRA is a story that demanded to be told and I am proud of the artistry and dedication our team brought to it,” Anatole said in a statement.
Originally envisioned as a 10–15 minute short designed specifically for film festivals, production spanned two and a half days. (The film was conceived and written one week before production began, Anatole said).

After filming over 45 minutes of material, he edited the story to a powerful 24-minute cut—a version that preserves the full weight of the narrative while adhering to festival guidelines.
“This will be the first and only public screening of OMYRA in Saint Lucia before the film begins its international festival run,” the statement noted.

Following the premiere, the film will not be streamed or released until its global festival circuit concludes.
The film would not have been possible without the dedication of its crew including Ashley Leon (First Assistant Director), Tanya Coertzen, (Location Coordinator), Jeremie Lewis, (Camera Assistant), Kyle Gittens (Key Grip), Gemma Weekes, (Script Supervisor), Kanzi Jose, (Assistant Script Supervisor), Raven Vicada and Kareem Stanley (Gaffers), and Launie Justin (Location Sound Engineer).
Artlas Studios extends special thanks to Fashionbloc, Porshlyfe, the Ministry of Tourism and the Creative Industries sector, whose contributions helped bring his vision to life.
