
Mabouya Valley and Vieux Fort South emerge as the undeniable finalists for this season’s SLFA Inc. Boys Under 12 District Football League competition, proudly supported by the Ministry of Youth Development & Sports, the National Lotteries Authority, and ACADO.
On Saturday, the challenge showcased exceptional goalkeeping, notably from Vieux Fort South’s Keegan Henry and Central Castries’ Quzard Eugene.
In the first semi-final at the Technical Center in Grande Riviere, Vieux Fort South triumphed over a resilient Gros Islet, securing a 1 – 0 victory. Benahim Poyotte delivered the winning goal in the 38th minute, proving the team’s determination and skill.
The Southern district young players displayed remarkable grit and resilience, with goalkeeper Keegan Henry’s stellar performance being pivotal to their success.
In the second semi-final, Mabouya Valley demonstrated their strength and tenacity, defeating Central Castries with a confident 2 – 0 scoreline. Despite facing numerous challenges from Quzard Eugene’s impressive saves, Mabouya Valley’s prolific goal-scorer Keevan Louisy broke through the defenses, netting his first goal in the 39th minute and sealing his team’s advancement with a stunning second goal in the 58th minute.
Fans can anticipate an exhilarating grand finale on Saturday at the Technical Center in Grande Riviere, following the thrilling double-header.
