2025 National Under-16 Netball Team for Youth Tournament

The 21st Jean Pierre Caribbean Youth Netball Tournament will be held in Barbados during the period April 6- 12, 2025. The participating countries are: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia and Trinidad & Tobago.

The tournament format is round-robin and matches will be played at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium Wildey, St. Michael. Fifteen matches are fixtured for play on six playing days.

The 12-member 2025 National Under-16 Team are: Andrea Wallis Entrepot Secondary School, Naija Ferdinand St. Joseph’s Convent, Nyssa Lascaris Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary, Yohanna Magloire Beanfield Secondary, Hailey Thomas and Linsey Auguste Castries Comprehensive Secondary, Rhea Jn. Phillip and Sherise Joseph Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary, Hayla Samuel and  Neriah Charlery Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary, Clarise Nervais and  Kiehanna St. Juste Micoud Secondary.

Naija, Yohanna, Rhea, Sherise, and Hailey were members of last year’s National Under-16 team. The team manager is Deselva Florton and the team coach is Shem Maxwell, assisted by Joann Anderson. The team physiotherapist and primary care official is a resident of Barbados. The team management and players are scheduled to depart St. Lucia on Saturday, April 5, 2025, via LIAT20 and are scheduled to arrive in Barbados in time for the Welcome Reception and Candle-lighting Ceremony in the evening.

The Opening ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 4:00 pm. Saint Lucia is not scheduled to play on the opening day. Saint Lucia’s first match will be on the second playday against Antigua and Barbuda.

Saint Lucia plays Dominica on Tuesday, April 8. Wednesday, April 9 is a free day and on Thursday, April 10, Saint Lucia is scheduled to play Barbados. On Friday, April 11 Saint Lucia will play Grenada.

Saint Lucia’s last match will be against Trinidad and Tobago on the final day of play- April 12.

All matches will be live-streamed on the Caribbean Netball platform and Sports BB. The SLNNA is deeply appreciative of the efforts of the Saint Lucia Community in Barbados and appeals to all Saint Lucians in Barbados to come to the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium to support TEAMSAINTLUCIA.
