Several Special Police Constables (SPCs) have been promoted to the rank of Police Constable (PC) due to their outstanding performances.

SPCs play a crucial role within the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF). One notable distinction between the two ranks is their uniforms. SPCs wear blue shirts and black police trousers with blue outer seams, while PCs wear white shirts and black trousers with white outer seams.

In light of these promotions, the RSLPF started a six-week training course on Monday, August 12, specifically tailored to meet the needs of the upgraded officers.

The training programme was led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Dr. Mashama K. Sealy, who oversees Corporate Services and Strategic Operations within the force, along with the training team.

Currently, twenty-three law enforcement officials are enrolled in the programme.
