SLTA Participates in Airline Leadership Summit

The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority proudly participated in the CAPA Airline Leadership Summit, which focused on Latin America and the Caribbean, held from August 22-23 in Trinidad. Representing Saint Lucia were Mario Reyes, Chairman of the Airlift Committee, and Christopher Gustave, Marketing Manager for the Caribbean Region, Events, and Sports.

Latin America and the Caribbean are recognized as some of the world’s fastest-growing aviation regions. However, this growth is increasingly concentrated in inter-continental and domestic markets. The summit highlighted the challenges posed by varying regulatory standards, competition approaches, and aviation policies within the region.

The conference provided a platform to discuss strategies to improve regional connectivity amidst these diverse approaches and governmental shifts. The insights gained will be vital in fostering more cohesive and efficient aviation development across Latin America and the Caribbean.
