In last weekend’s fixtures, Central Castries fought back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Gros Islet 4-2. This latest victory moves Central Castries to the top of the Tier 1 table, while Gros Islet dropped to 3rd place.
Meanwhile, Dennery secured a commanding 3-0 win against Desruisseaux, propelling them to 2nd place. La Clery also clinched a 3-0 victory against Mabouya. However, despite this win, the race for 4th place remains wide open.
Teams like Soufriere, who won their game against Laborie 2-1, still have 2 games in hand. Additionally, Canaries, sitting on 10 points, have three games in hand, concluding this season with some must-watch action.
After this weekend’s games, Vieux Fort North secured a 4-0 victory against Babonneau in their final game, staying 4th on the table. South Castries scored a late winner against Vieux Fort South, climbing to 5th place and remaining undefeated in Tier 2.
Notably, South Castries still has three games in hand.

The MPR Northern Club Championship kicked off on Saturday 3rd August at the Fond Assau Playing Field.
Boguis United All Stars and Northern United played to a 2 – 2 draw. In another game, Garrand FC defeated Pioneers 3 – 1. Scoring for Garrand FC were Linus David 19th and 50th min and Rick David 73rd min.
On Sunday, (August, 4) Big Players, with a brace from Lincoln Phillips, defeated Dominators 2 – 0.
In further updates, the Saint Lucia Girls U-15 football team went down to Guadeloupe 2 – 0 in their opener of the CONCACAF Girls U 15 Championships currently taking place in Aruba. Their next encounter was on Tuesday (August 6) versus Aruba All Stars.
The SLFA Inc. and the Technical Unit of the Boys U 14 National Team and parents, on August 5, held a meeting at the SLFA’s base, to further appraise the parents on Saint Lucia’s participation in CFU Under 14 Challenge Series scheduled for Antigua and Barbuda later this month.
