On Monday, August 5, 2024, at approximately 8:18 PM, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in Castries responded to a report of a fatal shooting in Barre Denis, Castries.
Upon arrival, preliminary investigations revealed an unresponsive male lying on his back with multiple apparent gunshot wounds. Personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service attended to the victim, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical practitioner.
The victim has been identified as thirty-five-year-old Troy Albert of Barre Denis, Castries.
