Exciting Match Play Continues in SPFL

Matches continued in the SPFL last weekend at the Dennery Playing Field with some exciting results.

Friday, May 3:

In a Tier 2 match, Babonneau faced off against V Fort South, resulting in a 1-1 draw.

Vieux Fort South’s prolific striker, Noah Nicholas, scored in the 25th minute, but Babonneau fought back with an equalizer by Jevon Joseph in the 45th minute.

Saturday, May 4:

Another Tier 2 clash featured Marchand vs. Micoud, with Marchand emerging victorious with a 3-2 score line.

Kyle Jn Baptiste scored twice for Marchand (34th and 69th minutes), while Nas Valcin added another goal in the 53rd minute. Micoud responded through Kimroy Mongro (60th minute) and Linton Emmanuel (88th minute).

In the South Castries vs. Anse La Raye match, both teams settled for a 1-1 draw. Chayron Dupre put South Castries ahead in the 53rd minute, but Anse La Raye equalized with Eric Gabriel scoring in the 57th minute.

Sunday, May 5:

In Tier 2, Vieux Fort North dominated Mon Repos with an impressive 8-1 victory.

o Vieux Fort North wasted no time, scoring an own goal by Shaquan Willie in the first minute. They continued their offensive onslaught, with three players recording braces: Dillion Fannis (11th and 47th minutes), Dennis Robert (30th and 62nd minutes), and Deline Jerson (87th and 88th minutes). Venus Valcent also found the net in the 82nd minute, while Mon Repos managed a consolation goal through Sherlonne James in the 46th minute.

Tier 1:

o Central Castries faced Choiseul, and it was a hard-fought battle. Central Castries secured a 2-1 victory. Marcalan John opened the scoring for Central Castries in the third minute, but Choiseul equalized through Arthurton Griffith in the ninth minute. The winner came from Simeon Francis in the 85th minute.
