Another round of exciting Semi- Professional Football League (SPFL) action was completed at the Dennery Playing Field last weekend.
Two players scored hattricks for their respective teams as the hunt for goals ensued in what is building up to be an interesting tournament so far.

The results of the matches played are as follows:
On Sunday, in Tier 2 – Anse La Raye vs. Mon Repos 3-0.
Ray J Joseph put Anse La Raye ahead in the 19â, followed up with goals from Javon Wilson 32â and Christopher Cadette converting from the spot in the 58â.
Tier 1 â Dennery vs Laborie 2-0.
The East-coast side netted two goals in the first half for a runaway victory, with Elijah Joseph 11â and Sherman St Rose 17â scoring.
Last Saturday, in Tier 1 â Gros Islet vs. Desruisseaux 4-1.
After conceding a first half lead to Desruiseesux, Gros Islet stormed back in the latter session with four unanswered goals to wrestle the advantage. Joseph Mangal gave Desruisseaux a 28â lead, but they could not sustain the momentum to keep the northern-based team at bay.
Prolific goal scorer Troy Greenidge led the rampage, converting a hattrick with goals in the 61â, 81â and 86â, while Aramis Gilbert scored in the 74â.
Tier 2 â VF North vs. VF South 1-0.
Christopher Gilbert netted the lone goal in the 24â.
Last Friday, in Tier 1 â Soufriere vs. La Clery 2-1.
Soufriere got the better of La Clery in a hard-fought match for a well-earned victory.
Soufriere took the lead through William Cenac in the 46â, but national player Malik St Prix gave La Clery an equalizer in the 66â. However, Soufriere dug in deep and were rewarded with a late goal from Antoine Herman in the 90+4â.
In Tier 2 â Roseau vs. Babonneau 3-1.
The valley lads triumphed with an absorbing field day over their northern opponents.
Hemalael Charlery proved to a thorn in the Babonneau teamâs way, scoring a hattrick with goals in the 6â, 46â and 90+3â.
At this stage, in the SPFL tournament; Gros Islet tops the table in Tier 1 with 6 points (2 matches), while Dennery follows with 6 points (2matches), C Castries 3 points (1match), and Soufriere 3 points (2matches).
In Tier 2, VF North tops with 6 pts. (2 matches), followed by Anse La Raye 4pts. (2matches), Roseau Valley 4pts. (2matches) and VF South 4 pts. (3 matches).
