Zadia James on Windies’ Squad for Australia Tour 🏏

ZADIA James, West Indies and Saint Lucian female cricketer has been selected in a 15-member senior West Indies Women squad to tour Australia for a six-match series in October.

The left-hand batter and slow left-arm orthodox bowler made her senior West Indies T20 debut versus India in January 2023 in East London, South Africa. She followed this up with her ODI debut versus Ireland in July at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.

Also, in January, in the ICC Under 19 Women’s World Cup in South Africa, James brought her experience to bear with an explosive all-round performance as West Indies Rising Stars edged Ireland, Women, by seven runs in their opening game.

At the time, the 18-year-old, with a handful of West Indies A matches under her belt, top-scored with 52 from 57 balls to underpin her side’s 125 / 7, before returning to grab 4 / 20 with her left-arm spin and restrict Ireland to 118 / 7 from their allotted overs.

The West Indies will play three T20 Internationals and three One Day Internationals.

1st October: 1st T20I at North Sydney Oval, Sydney, 2nd October: 2nd T20I at North Sydney Oval, Sydney (night), 5th October: 3rd T20I at Allan Border Field, Brisbane (night).

October 8th: 1st ODI at Allan Border Field, Brisbane, 12th October: 2nd ODI at Junction Oval, Melbourne, 14th October: 3rd ODI at Junction Oval, Melbourne.
