Saint Lucia Distillers and NWU Carve New Industrial Contract

OVER 50 workers employed with Saint Lucia Distillers Group of Companies based in Roseau will benefit from a new industrial accord agreed between the company and the Union. 

Provisions contained within are:

• A reclassification adjustment resulting in an increase in hourly rates ranging from eight percent to twenty five percent (8%-25%) – Years of Service and Qualifications being the criteria.

• Shift Premium from $1.00 to $1.50.

• Lunch Allowance of $25.00 and Dinner Allowance of $30.00.

• Four percent increase in pension entitlements.

The industrial agreement will run for a period of three years and will be signed before the Labour Commissioner.

The National Workers Union (NWU) has been the bargaining agent for workers employed with Saint Lucia Distillers for over 20 years.
