Ministry of Tourism Announces Customer Service Training for Vendors

The Ministry of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information has announced it will be offering a series of Customer Service Training sessions for vendors in the tourism industry. The sessions are due to run from June 19 to August 17, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

According to a ministry spokesperson, the training sessions are designed to help vendors improve their customer service skills and knowledge of the industry.

Topics in focus will include:

The importance of customer service, Communication skills, Problem-solving skills, Conflict resolution skills, Cultural awareness, Diversity and inclusion, Guest relations, and Hospitality standards.

The sessions will be led by an experienced trainer who has a deep understanding of the tourism industry. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from each other and to share their own experiences.

Minister of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information Dr. Ernest Hilaire says, his ministry is committed to providing tourism stakeholders with the training and resources they need to deliver an exceptional customer experience, which will ultimately help to improve the overall quality of the tourism product.

The Customer Service Training sessions are part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to improve the standard of customer service in the tourism industry to ensure that Saint Lucia remains a premier tourist destination.
