As a proud Silver Sponsor of Saint Lucia’s National Carnival 2023, First Citizens Investment Services Ltd. (FCIS) facilitated a money management seminar for the Carnival Queen Contestants on Friday, 16th June 2023 at the Bay Gardens Hotel.
In the lead up to the highly anticipated pageant carded for 1st July 2023, the contestants are being exposed to a series of character-building exercises that will prepare them in their future endeavours. FCIS was delighted to partner with the Carnival Planning and Management Committee in the hosting of the highly engaging session themed “Pearls of Wealth Creation” which was sponsored by Harry Edwards Jewelers.
First Citizens Business Development Manager (Ag.) – Gale Cumberbatch and Senior Investment Associate (Ag.) – Nayeebah St Prix spoke to contestants about creating and maintaining a budget, SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time bound) goals, saving and investing, retirement planning and other pearls of wisdom when it comes to managing their money. As part of the activity, the ladies also received a planner from FCIS and beautiful gift items from Harry Edwards Jewellers. Special gifts were also awarded to the contestants that performed exceedingly well in a post seminar quiz from the Nikkibedes collection which features fresh water pearls, available locally solely from Harry Edwards.
